It is not a surprised any more, Malaysian palm dates can bare fruits now. This amazing record took place in 1985 and it happened in Baling, more specifically in Baling Mosque compound.
Baling Dates
Even though Baling area was not a hot-dry area as compared to Perlis, palm dates tree can grow well and started fruiting in 1985.
I took an initiative to drive to Baling just to take these photographs.
